About Me

Nina Thompson has been helping buyers and sellers on the east side of Oahu for over 15 years, from the shores of Waikiki through Diamond Head, Kahala and Hawaii Kai. She got her real estate license in California in 1988, was a broker in vibrant Boston, MA running a fast-paced office on Tremont Street, and went on to become a top producer in Hawaii. Her success is built on excellent service and relationships, with the mission to put her clients’ best interests first.

Nominated for the prestigious Aloha Aina Award 10+ times, Nina is respected by clients and peers. She has an in-depth knowledge of transactions, wills, trusts, probate and 1031 exchanges, and collaborates with local attorneys and banks to help clients achieve their goals while gleaning a healthy understanding of the process.

Her international sales accomplishments are impressive, evidenced by her diverse clientele and affiliation with List Sotheby’s International Realty’s® global reach that includes ten offices in Japan. Nina holds the AHWD designation, providing confidence to her clients that they are working with a dynamic Realtor® with the expertise that transcends cultural barriers. She is also a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), the most sought-after designation in real estate that fewer than 10% of Realtors® hold.

Over the decades, Nina has learned to stay focused, flexible, on top of market conditions, and open to learning with each transaction. She has a creative side as well and loves decorating. Nina takes pride in offering island-style staging services to her sellers. She owns several investment properties and has vast insight of the district neighborhoods in Kailua and Kaneohe having lived in Lanikai.

Born and raised on the east coast, Nina became an entrepreneur at a young age and was the first female sales rep in Silicon Valley. She was also one of only two women at the time to own and operate an airfreight company, Pueo Air Express in Hawaii. For fun, she loves traveling with her flight attendant daughter and paddling open ocean 0C6 racing canoes. Nina donates a portion of each commission to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
